Our Abrasive Blasting Process

Prime Powder Coating provides an abrasive blasting service at our Slacks Creek factory. Abrasive blasting is the process used to clean and or etch a surface by means of an abrasive.  In our case, sand/garnet directed at high velocity against the surface of the part. Prime Powder Coating is able to provide advice on surface preparation for a wide variety of metal substrates, including aluminium, mild steel, wrought/cast iron and stainless steel.

In addition to using the abrasive blasting process as part of the pre-treatment process prior to in-house powder coating, we also provide abrasive blasting services to customers who wish to use the service to remove rust and paint for the restoration of outdoor furniture, car and motor cycle parts, bicycle parts, and machinery as well as many other applications.

Our blasting booth can accommodate product up to 2 metres high, 1.8 metres wide, and 6 metres in length.
